Also: Shitter-splatter, Schittersplatter, Schitter-splatter.
A humorous portmanteau word thought up in 2019 by this website's registrant while living in London (SW15).
He coined it to describe the faecal residue commonly found on the inside of a toilet basin, e.g. following an unexpected bout of diarrhoea. It can also be used to refer to the associated sound(s) of such a release, the act itself,
or as a verb.
The word derives from "shitter" (slang for 'anus') and 'splatter' (to scatter or fall in or as if in drops).
This somewhat repulsive and deliberately Germanic sounding word was inspired by the well known phrase:
"The pitter-patter of little feet". Hence: "The shittersplatter of little faeces".
It is intentionally playful and provocative, and for those who dare to utter it, satisfyingly onomatopoeic.
